Residual current monitoring relay - earth leakage relay
Residual current relays (earth leakage relays or residual current relays) are used for preventive maintenance and system protection. By displaying the current fault current or by means of signaling contacts, they offer the possibility of monitoring circuits for deterioration in terms of the fault current. This reduces the risk of uncontrolled interruptions, failures and fires.
The CEI 64.8 regulation states that a residual current relay serves as additional protection and is not to be regarded as protection against accidental contact.
We supply type A (AC) and B residual current relays for alternating and pulsating DC currents. Depending on the version, we cover the setting range of the differential current from 0.03 to 30A.
We also supply you with the appropriate toroidal core current transformers for the residual current monitoring relays.
